British No.1 Jack Draper staged an incredible comeback to beat home favourite Thanasi Kokkinakis in the second round of the Australian Open.
Draper lost the opining set much to the delight of the raucous Melbourne crowd. However, he dug deep and eventually claimed the victory 6-7 (7-3) 6-3 3-6 7-5 6-3 on John Cain Arena. The match lasted four-and-a-half hours and was notably tiring for both men.
US Open semi-finalist had been battling a hip injury coming into the tournament and will be encouraged to reach the third round for the first time. He will now take on another Australian in unseeded Aleksandar Vukic.
Elsewhere there were also victories for Wimbledon Champion Carlos Alcaraz and 10-time champion Novak Djokovic.
