Federer won major tournaments across all surfaces during his illustrious career. However, it was on the grass of Wimbledon where he enjoyed his most significant success. He became a fan’s favourite at SW19 and won a staggering eight titles at the All England Club. It would seem fitting for him to return next year and offer his expert analysis of what it takes to win the Wimbledon trophy.
BBC veteran presenter Sue Barker retired from her position in broadcasting this year. Barker had been a stalwart on the BBC during Wimbledon since 1993 and will be sorely missed by fans next year. It would therefore be a welcome surprise for tennis fans across the country if Federer appeared on their screens in July next year.
