Indian Wells gets underway in California

Often referred to as the ‘Fifth Major’ the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells is one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year. Matches will be played from 4th-15th March.

The ATP Masters 1000 event will attract the world’s best players in California. The state-of-the-art complex houses the second largest tennis stadium in the world – after US Open’s Arthur Ashe.

British No.1 Jack Draper won the event last year. However, his season was cut short after Wimbledon due to a nasty bone injury. The 24-year-old is returning after an eight-month absence from the court. It remains to be seen if his fitness is at a level to allow him to compete for the title this year.
