UK: 020 3904 5599There is renewed optimism that Wimbledon 2021 will go ahead with some sort of capacity crowd. The roll out of the vaccine programme gives everyone much needed hope that we may be entering the final stages of the Coronavirus pandemic. We fully expect there will be more hurdles to tackle in the coming weeks and months but the prospect of fans being able to return to live events in the summer is looking more positive.
It is our understanding that the AELTC are already developing social distancing measures to improve the safety of its visitors should spectators be allowed to attend the event at the end of June. We posted an article in November explaining that were three scenarios in which they are planning for the event to go ahead; full capacity, reduced capacity, or a ‘behind closed doors’ tournament. At the moment the most likely option is a reduced capacity Championships and in this case we fully expect the Debenture Ticket holders to be given priority access.
