Raducanu digs deep to claim first win of the season

British No.1 Emma Raducanu won her first match of 2026 on Wednesday at the Hobart International.

Raducanu fought back against Camila Osorio to win the contest in straight sets 6-3 7-6 (7-2). She was trailing 4-2 in the second set but rallied against the Columbian and won the tie-break. The win over Osorio was Raducanu’s first victory on tour since September after she was forced to end her season early due to injury.

The 2021 US Open Champion is the top seed at the tournament and will be ranked No.28 at the Australian Open which starts on Sunday. The first Grand Slam of 2026 will be held on the hard courts of Melbourne.
