Team Europe win Laver Cup in Berlin

Team Europe inflicted revenge on Team World to win the Laver Cup 13-11 in Berlin. The Europeans were trailing 11-7 going into the penultimate match but wins from Alexander Zverev & Carlos Alcaraz completed a thrilling comeback victory.

Wimbledon Champion Alcaraz was making his Laver Cup debut and was instrumental in Team Europe’s victory. Earlier on Sunday he partnered Casper Ruud to beat doubles pairing of Ben Shelton & Frances Tiafoe. He then defeated American Taylor Fritz 6-2 7-5 to ensure Europe won the trophy for the first time since 2021.

As the season enters its final stages, the year will culminate at the ATP Finals at Turin, Italy in November. The best eight players on the tour will go head-to-head for glory.
