Defending Men’s Champion Jannik Sinner has been in ominous form throughout the tournament. World No.2 Carlos Alcaraz won his last-32 match against Frenchman Arthur Rinderkneck 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 6-4. The 22-year-old is still yet to drop a set at this year’s tournament and will face Czech Jiri Lehecka for a place in the semi-finals.
Defending woman’s champion Aryna Sabalenka continued her fine form beating Cristina Bucsa 6-1 6-1 to secure her quarter finals spot. Iga Swiatek & Naomi Osaka will be amongst the other strong contenders to challenge at the weekend for glory.
