In doing so he surpassed Novak Djokovic’s 10-year record for the most consecutive set won at ATP 1000 events. The Italian notched up his 25第 & 26第 straight sets in the match which took him clear of the previous record held by Djokovic (24).
Sinner is aiming to complete the ‘Sunshine Double’ in Maimi after claiming the Indian Wells title earlier this month.
