英国：020 3904 5599The All England Club have reversed the ban on Russian & Belarusian players which was implemented for last year’s Wimbledon Championships. The ruling came into force following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and resulted in all players being unable to win tour ranking points for their achievements in the tournament.
Players such as Russian former World No 1 Daniil Medvedev will now be able to compete at the 2023 Championships which starts on Monday 3rd July. Russian & Belarusian players will have to sign a ‘neutrality declaration’ and therefore will not be able to represent their respective countries if they decide to compete.
The announcement has been met with mixed reactions but Wimbledon was the only Grand Slam to impose a ban last year, meaning the banned players will now be able to play at all 4 major competitions in 2023.
