Alcaraz into Wimbledon semi-finals

Defending Wimbledon Champion Carlos Alcaraz secured a second successive Wimbledon semi-final beating Tommy Paul in four sets. The young Spaniard recovered from dropping the first set to win the quarter-final tie 5-7 6-4 6-2 6-2.

Alcaraz will meet Daniil Medvedev on Friday for a place in the final on Sunday. Medvedev beat World No.1 Jannik Sinner to set up another semi-final clash with Alcaraz. He is looking to win his second Grand Slam title after winning the 2021 US Open.

Seven-time Champion Novak Djokovic will play Australian 9th seed Alex de Minaur in his quarter-final match today on Centre Court. The 37-year-old has amazingly recovered in time from recent knee surgery as he looks to add to his incredible 24 major titles.
