Djokovic shocked by Sinner who sets up Medvedev Australian Open final

Defending Champion Novak Djokovic suffered a humbling defeat to the hands of Jannik Sinner in the semi-final of the Australian Open. The defending champion and world No.1 found himself two sets down against his Italian opponent but managed to win a third set tie breaker to reduce the arrears. However, Sinner rallied in the forth to claim the match 6-1 6-2 6-7 (6-8) 6-3.

The defeat ended the Serb’s bid to claim a record extending 25th Grand Slam title and 11th Australian Open crown.

Sinner will play Daniil Medvedev in Sundays final after the Russian came back from two sets down to beat Alexander Zverev in the other semi-final
