マレー、2019年以来のATPイベント優勝

2度目 ウィンブルドン champion Andy Murray has won his first ATP title in four years after beating American top seed Tommy Paul in Aix-en-Provence. The 35-year-old had to battle back from losing the first set before claiming the victory 2-6 6-1 6-2.

The win was also Murray’s first title on clay since 2016 in Rome, which will gives him good preparation ahead of the French Open later this month. The former World No 1 is aiming to play at the Paris Grand Slam for only the second time since 2017.

Elsewhere Carlos Alcaraz retained his Madrid Open title in three sets over Germany’s Jan-Lenard Struff. The World No 2, who only turned 20 last week, has been in incredible form this year and will replace Novak Djokovic at the top of the rankings if he plays in Rome this week.
