Alexander Zverev Secures Madrid Glory

Alexander Zverev finished off a great week in Madrid to secure his 15 ATP title. On route the final the German beat both Rafael Nadal & Dominic Thiem and then battled back from a set down against Matteo Berrettini to win 6-7 (8) 6-4 6-3 to be crowed champion.

Zverev will swiftly turn his attention to the French Open in Roland Garros which begins in a couple of weeks. His critics will question his ability to maintain his level of quality and focus over the Grand Slam five-set format which will be challenged to the limits against the world’s best on the French clay.
