Coco Gauff became the youngest player to win the WTA Finals. The 20 year-old American sealed a superb victory 3-6 6-4 7-6 (7-2) against Qinwen Zheng.

Zheng won the Olympic Games in the summer and took the first set against Gauff putting herself in a strong position to win the title. However, Gauff showed great grit and determination to come back and win the contest in three sets. She is the first American champion since Serena Williams 10 years ago.

It was a prestigious victory for the young American who adds to her 2023 US Open crown.
