Canada beat Australia in the final of the Davis Cup in Malaga to win the event for the first time in their history. They got off to a strong start as Denis Shapovalov beat Thanasi Kokkinakis in straight sets 6-2 6-4.

Novak Djokovic cemented his status as the World’s No.1 player at the ATP Finals in Turin. The 24-time Grand Slam Champion beat Jannik Sinner 6-3 6-3 in the final on Sunday.

The Serb star now enters his 400th week as World No.1 which is a record period to be top of the world rankings.

Djokovic won three of the four major titles in 2023 and has already hinted he is aiming to complete a ‘Golden Slam’ in 2024 which would mean winning all of the Grand Slam competitions.

The first major will take place in Melbourne in January at the Australian Open. 22-time Grand Slam Champion Rafael Nadal is aiming to return from injury in his quest to close the gap on Djokovic for the race to be recognised as the greatest of all time.
