Nadal looks set to return to action at the Australian Open

22-time Grand Slam Champion Rafael Nadal looks set to make his long-awaited return at the Australian Open in January. The Spaniard has not played since being knocked out of the tournament last year due to injury.

It is expected that 2024 will be Nadal’s final year in the sport. The former world no 1 is now 37 and has struggled with injuries in recent years. He is therefore hoping to play for one more season to try and capture more major trophies before retirement.

Nadal is currently two Grand Slams behind his rival Novak Djokovic who currently holds the all-time record with 24 majors.
