Novak Djokovic broke more records in Paris over the weekend by beating defending champion Daniil Medvedev 4-6 6-3 6-3 in Sunday’s final. The title was the Serb’s record breaking sixth Paris Masters and his 37th Masters 1000 victory, moving clear of Rafael Nadal.
The Wimbledon Champion was able to gain a small slice of revenge over Medvedev after the Russian beat him at the final of the US Open in September to deny him a calendar Grand Slam. Both will play at the season finale ATP Finals tournament in Turin later this month, which could feature another showdown between these two in-form players.
Victory in Paris also ensures Djokovic will end the year as World No 1 for a record seventh time!
