For the first time since WWII, the Wimbledon Championships were cancelled in 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The AELTC have released an update on The Championships 2021 by providing three scenarios in which they are planning for the event to go ahead; a full capacity Championships, a reduced capacity Championships, and a ‘behind closed doors’ Championships.

The decision will inevitably depend on Government restrictions but given the recent encouraging news on a Covid-19 vaccine the sport of Tennis will be hoping that by next summer the Championships will be able to take place with at least some kind of capacity crowd.
