Wimbledon Hots up with Murray & Federer in Action at the End of Week One

The Wimbledon Championships are a very welcome return to the tennis calendar as the sport’s premier Grand Slam event returned to SW19 this week!

The hot favourite in the men’s draw World No 1 Novak Djokovic survived a brief scare in his first round match against Brit Jack Draper and ends the first week of the tournament against American Denis Kudla as he bids for a record equalling 20th Grand Slam.

Crowd favourites Andy Murray & Roger Ferrer both be hoping to feature in the second week as they battle Denis Shapovalov & Cam Norrie respectively. Murray turned the clock back with a vintage comeback performance in the second round against German qualifier Otte under the lights on Centre Court.

Meanwhile Nick Kyrgios remained a crowd pleaser at Wimbledon as he came through his second round match on Court 3 in style. He even asked advise from a spectator on how he should execute his match point serve!

As we enter the business end of the Championships next week it will be interesting to see who is left to battle it out grass court supremacy.
