Tsitsipas smashes Rudd to win Monte-Carlo Masters

After shock defeats to Novak Djokovic & Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas won his third Monte-Carlo Masters title in four years.

The Greek moves to No.7 in the world rankings after beating Casper Rudd 6-1 6-4 in the final. His road to glory also included a victory over Sinner in the semi-finals. Tsitsipas will be extremely encouraged by his performance on the French Rivera.

Novak Djokovic was beaten by Casper Rudd in three sets 7-5 1-6 6-4. The defeat means the 24-time Grand Slam Champion is yet to reach a competitive final in 2024.

The tour now heads to Barcelona where there is a possibility of the return of Rafael Nadal. However, Wimbledon Champion Carlos Alcaraz has been forced to withdraw from the tournament due to injury. Alcaraz won the event in 2023 but is not fit enough to defend his title this year.
