Top seed Carlos Alcaraz maintained his impressive form with a straight sets victory over Lorenzo Musetti at the Miami Open 6-3 6-3.

Alcaraz is coming off his recent triumph at Indian Wells and his victory over his Italian opponent booked his place in the quarter finals. If the Spaniard is able to capture the Miami Open he will complete an esteemed ‘Sunshine Double’. This will consist of winning two prestigious American hard-court tournaments in the same year.

The Wimbledon Champion will now play Bulgarian 11^th seed Grigor Dimitrov for a place in the last four.

World No.3 Jannik Sinner also progressed in Florida after beating Australian Christopher O’Connell 6-4 6-3. The Australian Open champion has been in great form himself this season and a potential showdown with Alcaraz will certainly excite the Miami fans.
